Job Title: Electrician

Summary

We’re on the lookout for an experienced Electrician to work on a project in Newcastle city centre. The job involves containment and lighting installation, starting as soon as possible. If you’ve got a Gold JIB card and you’re ready for a short contract with good rates, this could be a great fit.

 

Salary

• £26.00 per hour (Mon–Fri first 40 hours)
• £33.80 per hour (Midweek overtime and first 6 hours on Saturday)
• £41.60 per hour (Saturday after first 6 hours and all Sunday hours)
• Paid via CIS

 

Working Pattern

• Monday to Thursday: 7:30am–4:30pm
• Friday: 7:30am–1:00pm

 

Client Overview

Our client is delivering electrical installation services for a key project in Newcastle. They’re seeking tradespeople who can deliver professional, high-quality work on time.

Responsibilities

• Carry out containment installation work
• Install and connect lighting systems
• Ensure all tasks comply with safety regulations and standards
• Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Report progress and any issues to the site supervisor

 

Must-have Requirements

• Gold JIB card
• Proven experience as an electrician on commercial projects
• Ability to work to deadlines and follow site safety rules

 

Nice-to-have Skills

• Experience with similar commercial projects
• Additional electrical certifications beyond JIB

• Duration: 3 weeks, with possible extension
