Summary
We’re seeking an experienced General Foreman to oversee construction operations for a major project in Dooradoyle, Ireland. This role is ideal for someone highly organised with a strong background in site management and health and safety standards. It offers the opportunity to work with a leading contractor on exciting projects, ensuring quality, safety and timely delivery.


Location and Working Pattern
Dooradoyle, Ireland – On-site with flexibility for some remote work.


Client Overview
Our client is a highly respected construction and engineering organisation delivering complex projects across Ireland and beyond. They are known for excellence in safety, quality, and project delivery.


Responsibilities

• Establish and monitor key stage programmes.
• Set up the site and maintain site security and presentation standards.
• Take possession of the site, plan and coordinate trade activities.
• Apply for temporary service connections.
• Interpret drawings and specifications, and communicate directions to site personnel, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Ensure that method statements and risk assessments for high-risk activities are completed.
• Request outstanding information from the professional team and confirm verbal instructions.
• Assist with obtaining necessary approvals to ensure safe project progression.
• Review buildability and identify methods of construction for programme/commercial advantage.
• Collaborate with the Environmental Co‑ordinator to implement site environmental controls.
• Attend and document site, subcontract, and internal meetings.

Must-have Requirements

• First Aid at Work certificate.
• IOSH or equivalent Health & Safety management training.
• Knowledge of Temporary Works and Excavation Safety.
• Experience with permitting requirements for live energy works.
• Ability to work at heights and with scaffolding.
• Understanding of lifting, cranage operations and other HSEQS requirements.

Nice-to-have Skills

• Previous experience working on civils and commercial projects.
• Strong leadership and communication abilities.
• Proficiency in interpreting complex drawings and specifications.
