Job Title Interface Engineer

Summary We’re working with a global leader in engineering solutions to recruit an Interface Engineer for a high-profile nuclear programme based in London, offering a hybrid working arrangement. This role is ideal for experienced interface management professionals with a background in large-scale infrastructure, engineering, or energy projects. You’ll play a crucial role in ensuring alignment across major programmes, supporting safe and timely delivery on a project that contributes to UK energy security and Net Zero goals.

Salary £47,000 with additional benefits (detailed below).

Location and Working Pattern London (Hybrid working available).

Responsibilities
  • Implement and maintain the Interface Management Plan.
  • Manage interface tools including the Delivery Interface Register (DIR) and Milestone Definition Documents (MDDs).
  • Define, track, and coordinate interfaces between major programmes and stakeholders.
  • Monitor progress, risks, issues, and dependencies related to interfaces.
  • Ensure requirements are integrated into project schedules and change control processes.
  • Facilitate issue resolution and closure to maintain continuity and minimise risk.
  • Produce performance reports and provide assurance to senior leadership teams.
  • Support effective stakeholder engagement and promote a collaborative project approach.
  • Drive compliance with nuclear safety and regulatory standards.
Must-have Requirements
  • Proven experience in interface management on large infrastructure, engineering, construction, or energy projects.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.
  • Knowledge of project management, scheduling, risk management, and change control.
  • Ability to explain complex technical and commercial issues clearly.
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Degree in Nuclear, Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, or a related Engineering discipline.
Nice-to-have Skills
  • Experience within the nuclear sector or on live construction sites.
