Job Title Intermediate Structural Engineer
Summary
We’re seeking an experienced
Intermediate Structural Engineer to support life sciences projects in Cork, Ireland. This role is ideal for engineers with strong structural design expertise who enjoy working on technically challenging and innovative industrial projects. You’ll be part of a collaborative team that values precision and problem-solving.
Location and Working Pattern Cork, Ireland. On-site role with occasional client meetings.
Client Overview Our client is a well-established engineering consultancy with an international presence, delivering high-quality solutions across various sectors, including life sciences. They pride themselves on technical excellence and client satisfaction.
Responsibilities- Produce structural design calculations and detailed reports for assigned project elements
- Assist with creating and developing 3D Revit models
- Review and verify structural drawings for accuracy and compliance
- Collaborate with internal team members, clients, and stakeholders
- Attend internal design meetings and client review sessions
- Ensure all deliverables meet agreed deadlines and quality standards
- Adhere to all relevant design codes and client protocols
Must-have Requirements- Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience designing building structures
- Strong knowledge of Eurocode, BSI and Irish standards
- Proficiency with structural design software such as TEKLA Designer
- Excellent communication skills
Nice-to-have Skills- Chartered Engineer status (preferable)
- Experience working on life sciences or industrial sector projects
