NRL are currently recruiting for a Logistics Manager for work on a new build commercial project in Market Harborough, Leicestershire.
Must have:- CSCS Card (required)
- SMSTS or SSSTS
- Relevant logistics or construction management qualification (desirable)
- Traffic Management / Banksman qualifications (desirable)
- First Aid (desirable)
Duration: Ongoing (project completion estimated April 2028)
Start: 3rd August 2026
Key Responsibilities- Develop, implement, and manage the site logistics plan, ensuring smooth coordination of deliveries, storage, and distribution of materials.
- Book in deliveries and coordinate logistics schedules to align with site activities and programme requirements.
- Manage site access, egress, and traffic flow, ensuring minimal disruption and maximum efficiency.
- Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, and site teams to ensure timely and organised delivery of materials and equipment.
- Supervise logistics operatives, banksmen, and traffic marshals where applicable.
- Attend and contribute to daily site briefings and coordination meetings.
- Ensure all deliveries are checked, recorded, and stored appropriately.
- Work closely with M&E supervisors to ensure materials are available to support installation works without delays.
- Monitor and manage site storage areas, ensuring organisation, security, and efficient use of space.
- Maintain clear and safe site access routes and working areas, including housekeeping standards.
- Carry out quality and compliance checks using the Dalux system via iPad where applicable (e.g., logistics processes, storage compliance, damage reporting).
- Monitor logistics performance and productivity, identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Identify and resolve logistical issues, constraints, and site coordination conflicts.
- Monitor project progress from a logistics perspective and report any risks, delays, or constraints to the Senior M&E Lead.
- Support site teams during key phases including major deliveries, plant movements, and commissioning activities.
- Assist in coordinating removals, demobilisation, and final site clearances towards project completion.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, plant movements, and logistics activities.
Health, Safety & Compliance- Ensure all logistics activities are carried out in compliance with:
- Site safety rules
- RAMS
- CDM regulations
- Conduct regular safety inspections, toolbox talks, and site briefings.
- Ensure all operatives:
- Wear appropriate PPE
- Follow safe systems of work
- Manage traffic management plans and ensure safe pedestrian and vehicle segregation.
- Promote a strong safety culture and lead by example.
Skills & Experience- Proven experience as a Logistics Manager on large-scale construction or infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of construction site logistics, delivery management, and material control.
- Experience coordinating with multiple subcontractors and disciplines.
- Familiar with digital management tools (e.g., Dalux or similar platforms).
- Strong organisational, planning, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:30am – 4:30pm
Pay: Umbrella or PAYE
Rates: Pay rates are negotiable
