NRL are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Supervisor for work on a new build commercial project in Market Harborough, Leicestershire.
Must have:- NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical/Plumbing Services (or equivalent)
- SMSTS or SSSTS
- CSCS Card
- Relevant mechanical certifications (desirable)
- First Aid (desirable)
Duration: Ongoing (project completion estimated April 2028)
Start: 3rd August 2026
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and coordinate all mechanical subcontractors, ensuring works are completed safely, to specification, and in compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Oversee installation of:
- HVAC systems
- Domestic water services
- Heating systems
- Above-ground drainage
- Specialist systems applicable to custodial facilities
- Carry out quality checks using the Dalux system via iPad, ensuring full traceability and compliance.
- Attend daily briefings and actively contribute to planning and coordination.
- Conduct toolbox talks, safety inspections, and site briefings regularly.
- Ensure all operatives follow:
- Safe systems of work
- PPE requirements
- Review drawings, specifications, and coordinated BIM models to ensure works are installed correctly.
- Identify and resolve technical issues, clashes, and installation conflicts.
- Monitor productivity and subcontractor performance.
- Track and monitor project progress, escalating delays or risks to the Senior M&E Lead.
- Assist with booking and coordinating deliveries where required.
- Ensure compliance with all mechanical standards and project specifications.
- Support testing and commissioning activities.
- Assist in preparing handover documentation, operation & maintenance manuals, and project close-out documents.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, installations, and progress.
- Coordinate closely with electrical and other trades to ensure efficient delivery.
Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:30am – 4:30pm
Pay: CIS or Umbrella
Rates: Pay rates are negotiable
