M&P Quantity Surveyor
Summary We’re looking for an experienced M&P Quantity Surveyor to join a large-scale pharmaceutical project in Frankfurt, Germany. This is a contract position ideal for professionals with strong pharma experience seeking a long-term opportunity on a major project.
Location and Working Pattern
Frankfurt, Germany – On-site role. Candidates must have the right to work in Germany or hold an EU passport.
Client Overview Our client is a global engineering company known for delivering complex and high-profile projects within the life sciences sector.
Responsibilities- Prepare capital cost estimates
- Assist with tendering procedures and contract arrangements
- Develop tender packages, including package assembly
- Prepare pricing documents and/or Bills of Quantities (BoQs) for tender packages
- Manage the tender process with key stakeholders
- Review and assess tender submissions through to recommendation stage
- Conduct tender clarifications and negotiations with bidders
- Prepare tender evaluation reports and recommendations
- Support contract agreement and finalisation
- Ensure compliance with procurement procedures and governance requirements
- Liaise with design teams to ensure completeness of information for tender
- Identify and manage commercial risks during the tender process
- Prepare Interim Valuations
- Prepare monthly Cost Reporting
- Attend client and contractor meetings
- Negotiate and agree variations
- Review and assess contract claims
- Agree final accounts
- Maintain clear documentation and audit trails throughout the procurement process
Must-have Requirements- Proven experience as an M&P Quantity Surveyor on pharmaceutical projects
- In-depth knowledge of tendering, cost reporting and contract management
- Ability to work on-site in Frankfurt for the duration of the project
- Full rights to work in Germany and possession of an EU passport
Nice-to-have Skills- Experience working on large-scale capital projects within life sciences or pharma sectors
- Strong negotiation, reporting and stakeholder management skills
