Job Title Office and Facilities Manager

Summary We’re seeking a proactive and highly organised individual to manage the day-to-day operations of our client’s Manchester office on a 12-month contract. This role is vital to maintaining a professional, welcoming, and efficient workplace, supporting employees, clients and visitors. It’s an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in office or facilities management who enjoys taking ownership and delivering solutions.

Salary Inside IR35

Contract Term 12-month fixed-term contract

Client Overview Our client is dedicated to providing a safe, professional, and efficient working environment across their offices. They value individuals who demonstrate initiative, reliability and exceptional organisational skills.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the daily operation of the Manchester office, ensuring a safe and efficient environment.
  • Act as the main contact for office and facilities queries, liaising with landlords, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Oversee maintenance and repairs, ensuring prompt resolution of issues.
  • Manage office supplies and stock levels, arranging orders as needed.
  • Coordinate workspace planning, meeting room bookings and any office moves or layout changes.
  • Monitor and manage the local office budget, supporting financial planning and reporting.
  • Process invoices and resolve any payment queries with suppliers and Finance teams.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and environmental standards, maintaining accurate records.
  • Manage office security protocols, including visitor processes and access systems.
  • Support onboarding for new starters, providing necessary facilities and Health & Safety inductions.
Must-have Requirements
  • Previous experience in office management, facilities or similar roles.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise effectively.
  • Experience managing budgets, expenditure and supplier relationships.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Must be eligible for BPSS clearance:
    • Full right to work in the UK.
    • Minimum of 3 years' continuous residency in the UK.
Nice-to-have Skills
  • Familiarity with Health & Safety and Environmental compliance.
  • Procurement experience and contractor management skills.
