Job Title: Painting and Insulation Supervisor

Summary: NRL are looking for an experienced Painting and Insulation Supervisor to join a long-term infrastructure project based on site in Somerset. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for someone with proven expertise in industrial coatings and thermal insulation techniques to oversee quality and safety compliance over several years.

Salary: £100,000 per annum DOE 

Location and Working Pattern: Somerset – site-based, full time, day shift until project compeltetion (approximately 5 years). ASAP start (subject to obtaining BPSS clearance). 

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise all painting and insulation activities across allocated project areas
  • Ensure all works comply with quality specifications, safety standards, and project procedures
  • Manage subcontractor teams and monitor progress against scheduled milestones
  • Conduct inspections to verify application standards and correct material usage
  • Coordinate with other discipline supervisors to maintain smooth workflow and resolve interface issues
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation for audits and project tracking
  • Promote safe working practices and enforce compliance with health and safety requirements
Must-have Requirements:
  • Significant experience in painting and insulation supervision within industrial or construction settings
  • Strong knowledge of surface preparation, coating systems, and insulation materials
  • Thorough understanding of quality control processes and health and safety legislation
  • Ability to manage subcontractors and ensure productivity targets are met
  • Good communication skills for interfacing with project stakeholders
Nice-to-have Skills: 
  • Previous experience within nuclear or large infrastructure projects
  • Familiarity with NORSOK, ISO, and other relevant coating and insulation specifications
  • Supervisory or leadership training certifications
