Piping Quality Lead

Summary
We’re looking for an experienced Piping Quality Lead to join the NRL Group and play a key role in ensuring quality compliance across major projects. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong knowledge of piping and welding standards who is confident in leading quality activities in line with codes, standards and project requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee site piping quality activities on behalf of NRL.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards and project requirements.
  • Monitor subcontractor activities against Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and report results.
  • Conduct quality audits and random inspections internally and across subcontractors.
  • Review and approve key documents including ITPLs and Site Work Conformance Files.
  • Verify welding documentation and oversee welder performance monitoring.
  • Deliver quality training to partners and team members on tools and procedures.
  • Manage escalation of non-conformances and ensure resolution to prevent reoccurrence.
Must‑have Requirements
  • Engineering/BEng degree or equivalent.
  • ISO 9001 Lead Auditor qualification.
  • Welding Inspector qualification.
  • Proven experience in piping, mechanical and welding inspection.
  • Solid understanding of NDT (PT, MT, UT & RT desirable).
  • Previous experience delivering quality leadership across at least two full projects.
  • Proficient in MS Office and related software.
Nice‑to‑have Skills
  • Additional NDT certifications.
  • Experience in corrosion protection (painting, galvanising).
  • Knowledge of nuclear safety requirements/PED/EN.
