Planning Engineer


Summary
We’re looking for an experienced Planning Engineer to join a leading organisation in Kingston upon Thames. This role involves developing and managing project schedules for offshore wind projects, particularly during tender phases. It’s a great opportunity for someone with strong planning skills and experience in the energy sector to work in a hybrid environment.

Our client is a global leader in delivering complex engineering and construction services. Operating across the energy sector, they are recognised for their innovation and commitment to sustainability.


Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain the Project Schedule in line with contractual requirements and internal standards
  • Implement the Planning and Progress Control System
  • Analyse and address any deviations from the planned schedule
  • Drive schedule awareness across all project participants
  • Prepare and manage 90-day look-ahead, weekly, and monthly schedules
  • Support the preparation of Project Status Reports
  • Assist during contract amendments and claims with time impact analysis
  • Participate in risk management and schedule risk analysis activities

Must-have Requirements
  • 5–10 years’ experience in planning for offshore oil & gas projects, preferably offshore wind
  • HNC, HND, or a bachelor’s degree
  • Proven expertise in tendering project phases, T&I, and potentially EPCI projects
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project

Nice-to-have Skills
  • Familiarity with risk analysis tools and practices
  • Experience with large-scale offshore wind projects
