You will be responsible for increasing plant output and productivity by reducing non‑productive time, optimising labour utilisation, and minimising manufacturing costs. Working closely with HR, you will assess staffing levels and develop capability plans aligned with future production needs.
A key part of the role will be establishing robust production management processes supported by performance KPIs such as yield, defect rates, operational efficiency, and cost per ton.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive continuous improvement across manufacturing processes
  • Ensure SOP compliance and maintain ISO 9001:2015 quality system standards

  • Work collaboratively with quality, maintenance, logistics, sales, and project management teams

What You’ll Bring
  • Significant experience in production or manufacturing management within heavy engineering
  • Experience in large‑scale steel or pipe fabrication (advantageous)
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to build trust and motivate teams
  • Excellent analytical, planning, and communication abilities
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing technology, facility layout, and product specifications
  • A balance of strategic oversight and hands‑on operational decision‑making

  • Car allowance
  • Private medical insurance
  • 25 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays
  • 5% employer pension contribution
  • Medicash healthcare plan
