Job Title Project Engineer – Electrical
Summary
We are looking for an experienced Project Engineer – Electrical to join our client’s team on a permanent basis, working on-site in New Cairo. This role is ideal for someone with strong experience in electrical engineering for EPC projects, including utility-scale solar PV and BESS projects. You’ll be involved in technical oversight, design reviews, and supporting project execution from start to finish.
Location and Working Pattern New Cairo, Egypt – On-site role with travel to project sites when required.

Our client is a leading player in the renewable energy sector delivering complex engineering projects, with a strong focus on sustainable energy solutions across multiple regions.
Responsibilities- Support the Lead Engineer in executing design and technical activities to ensure compliance.
- Conduct due diligence investigations on electrical packages and evaluate risks.
- Assist in reviewing electrical design information and supporting structuring through execution phases.
- Manage and resolve site technical queries, ensuring quality and compliance during construction.
- Review and monitor contractor performance for quality, accuracy, and adherence to specifications.
- Oversee electrical equipment installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
- Provide on-site assessments and technical guidance throughout project delivery.
- Ensure safety procedures, quality standards, and required documentation are consistently maintained.
Must-have Requirements- Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 7+ years’ experience in EPC for medium to large-scale projects.
- Demonstrated experience with utility-scale solar PV and/or BESS projects.
- Strong knowledge of IEC standards and local electrical design codes.
- Proficient in MS Office and AutoCAD or similar design software.
- Fluent in English and Arabic (spoken and written).
- Valid driver’s licence.
Nice-to-have Skills- Prior experience engaging with utilities and grid operators for interconnections and code compliance.
- Familiarity with quality control systems and construction monitoring.
- Strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills with proven ability to work across functions.
