Summary
We’re seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a major power infrastructure project on the Isle of Skye. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals with strong NEC contract knowledge and estimating experience to work on a high-value, long-term project lasting up to five years.

Client Overview
Our client is a leading organisation within the power transmission and distribution sector, delivering critical infrastructure projects across the UK.
Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive commercial support at a project level, including management of live projects and tender opportunities.
- Administer NEC3 and NEC4 contracts (Options A and C), ensuring compliance and effective implementation.
- Develop and manage subcontract agreements through to final account.
- Produce cost estimates and subcontract enquiries for tenders and compensation events.
- Prepare monthly cost and value reconciliations (CVRs) and client reports in line with procedures.
- Optimise cash flow through valuation submissions and subcontractor account control.
- Manage change events, early warnings and compensation events in accordance with contract terms.
- Identify commercial risks, opportunities, value engineering, and drive recovery of outstanding monies.
Must-have Requirements- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor.
- BSc or HND in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent).
- Strong knowledge of NEC3/NEC4 contracts, particularly Options A and C.
- Estimating experience.
- Ability to read, understand, interpret and analyse project programmes.
- Competence in MS Office and excellent numeric and commercial skills.
Nice-to-have Skills- Experience within the power transmission and distribution sector.
- Awareness of construction methods and standard measurement methods.
- Experience managing multiple projects and mentoring junior staff.
