NRL are currently partnered with a global engineering consultancy who are providing design and project management support to a leading European Energy Operator. Specifically, the portfolio of projects is focused on energy transition (hydrogen, biofuels etc.) across Germany and Austria.

These roles are available on a contract (freelance) or permanent basis dependent on the candidate preference and the positions will offer hybrid working.


Civil, Structural, and Architectural Engineering Lead

Location: Germany - (Munich/Bucharest)

The CSA Engineering Lead oversees the design work for civil, structural, and architectural engineering on Project Boden. As the engineering lead, your responsibilities include managing our engineering partners and ensuring efficient design solutions for all CSA components. You’ll report to the Head of Engineering and actively participate in cross-functional delivery teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Own H2GS civil construction engineering and design.

  • Provide leadership and guidance in developing engineering and design strategies and concepts.

  • Manage engineering work to comply with codes, standards, regulations, equipment specifications, and process targets.

  • Drive quality achievement and performance improvement across the organization.

  • Manage our EPCM engineering partners for civil construction engineering and design.

  • Establish or select engineering and design standards and procedures to maintain consistent quality.

  • Deliver engineering work on time, within budget, and with excellent quality.

Requirements:

  • Prioritize a safe work environment.

  • Substantial experience in major industrial capital projects.

  • Proficiency in industrial-scale steel and concrete structures.

  • Previous project exposure to Scandinavian building codes and standards.

  • Expertise in project planning, execution, management, and stakeholder communication.

  • Extensive collaboration with EPCM civil construction engineers.

  • Knowledgeable about industry best practices and change management.

  • Recent experience managing engineering and construction activities in large capital projects.

  • Ability to manage engineering partners effectively.
