Reporting to the Commercial Manager, to assist with aspects of Quantity Surveying / Cost Engineering and Commercial matters; along with any other key duties as required. This post is provisionally based at a local nuclear site; some flexibility will be available for the successful candidate.
What you'll be doing:
- Forms of contract.
- Produce Supplier orders and Subcontract Orders.
- Awareness of Subcontract Procedures.
- Cost control measures.
- Contractual understanding.
- Authorising payments to suppliers and subcontractors.
- Conformity with internal processes.
- Assisting and advising sites with placement of subcontracts.
- Assisting where required in the valuation of subcontracts.
- Preparing contractual / formal letters for various departments as requested.
- Problem solve any poorly performing contracts.
- Transfer management of costs and sales.
- Producing monthly ‘Application for Payments’ for each Site Task Order / Contract.
- Managing NEC3 Project Controls (Early Warnings / Compensation Events etc).
- Investigation of any fluctuation within Margin / Revenue Expectation.
- Liaising with relevant personnel to assist & resolve discrepancies within costings or hours worked.
- Drive and Energy - Understands key objectives & commercial targets.

- Commercial awareness.
- Experience within a Commercial, accountancy or QS position is preferable.
- Ability to gain nuclear clearance is desirable for this role.
