As a Construction Manager, you will be responsible for supervising the construction of Data Center facilities. You collaborate with other managers, specialising in various project aspects, and you will be involved in all project phases from planning to completion.

Here are the key responsibilities and skills associated with this role:

Responsibilities:
Overseeing and Directing Construction Projects:

  • Supervise construction projects from conception to completion.

  • Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs.

Onsite and Offsite Construction Management:

  • Oversee all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations.

  • Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors.

Resource Management:

  • Select tools, materials, and equipment and track inventory.

  • Meet contractual conditions of performance.

Project Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Review work progress on a daily basis.

  • Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status.

Planning and Problem-Solving:

  • Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones.

  • Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts, and obtain permits and licenses.

Risk Management and Quality Control:

  • Analyse, manage, and mitigate risks.

  • Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.

Requirements and Skills:

  • Proven working experience in construction management especially in Data Center field

  • Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means, and methods.

  • Expert knowledge of building products, construction details, and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards.
