Construction Manager - Data Centre Build Location Outskirts of Nairobi, Kenya

Contract Duration 12 months

Job Description We are seeking a Construction Manager with client-side experience to oversee the construction of a new data centre. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in managing the construction of data centres and will be responsible for ensuring the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of the construction process, from design to completion.

  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other construction professionals.

  • Ensure all construction activities comply with health and safety regulations.

  • Monitor progress and make adjustments as needed.

  • Manage relationships with clients, stakeholders, and contractors.

  • Prepare and present progress reports to stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.

  • Proven experience as a Construction Manager in the data centre industry.

  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, equipment, and OSHA guidelines.

  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.

  • Proficiency in construction management software.

Experience:

  • Must have experience building data centres.

  • Experience in client-side project management is highly desirable.

  • Experience working in Kenya or similar environments would be a plus.
