This role will also manage our Accounts department, which is a team of four.

This role is suited to someone who is a forward-thinking, driven individual with a passion for numbers and a strong desire to make a significant impact.

The role would suit someone who is a qualified accountant, or possibly QBE. All training will be provided to manage the everyday tasks the role will be responsible for.

Here are just a few reasons why this Financial Accountant role could be the perfect long-term destination for your career:

  • Impactful Contribution: Your analysis and insights will directly influence strategic business decisions, ensuring that we continue to thrive in a rapidly evolving marketplace.

  • Growth Potential: We are a business with a long-established track-record of growth, and with collective growth comes individual opportunities to grow your influence and career.

  • Collaborative Environment: Join a supportive and inclusive team that values your opinions and encourages collaboration.

  • Positive Culture: We are proud to have built our business on core company values of integrity, transparency, and work-life balance.

As Financial Accountant your main responsibilities will include:

  • Business partnering with our Leadership Team and the wider business heads to report and discuss results and conduct variance analysis against budgets and forecasts. We are a business driven by weekly results, and this shapes the rapid speed at which we operate and look to understand our results - and you will enjoy and thrive under this environment.

  • Ensuring the preparation of monthly management accounts are accurate and on time by managing and supporting the Accounts team to ensure all journals are posted and all balance sheet control accounts are balanced each month. Where required, you will be comfortable carrying out reconciliations yourself and be willing to ‘muck-in’ to ensure the team are well supported and able to meet all deadlines, and you will then review all balance sheet reconciliations, monthly, with the Group Head of Finance.

  • Partnering with transactional Finance teams to problem solve and look for efficiencies in the way our work is delivered. All our Finance teams are closely integrated with one another, and this requires a collaborative style of work amongst the Finance heads.

  • Providing financial support for strategic initiatives including new market opportunities (we currently operate in 26 countries, trading in 10 different currencies and across 4 different Banks, but expect this to grow), mergers, acquisitions, technology advancements and other finance projects as they arise.

  • Along with the other Finance heads, you will champion the use of the Group’s new finance software, Oracle Netsuite, across the business and become a ‘Superuser’, challenging the business to take advantage of the system’s full capabilities for rapid, self-service data driven analysis and live reporting in order to deliver great service to the business as well as deliver efficiencies in the way the Accounts team currently works
