 NRL are recruiting for a Junior Project Manager, to work on a permanent basis with one of our London -based systems engineering company, specialising in mission-critical control and communication systems within transportation environments. 


Role Responsibilities:
  • Assist with developing, implementing and maintaining budget and cost data.
  • Assist with developing, implementing and maintaining the project activity schedule, and organising works of project team members.
  • Project performance status updating and reporting according to the company’s monthly timescale
  • Communicating with clients, suppliers and project stakeholders, internal and external to the company.
  • Managing suppliers and sub-contractors, and management of purchasing and delivery.
  • Assist business development in creating cost estimates for business opportunities
  • Providing support to the project manager in other project related tasks.
  • Deputising for the project manager.
 

Role Requirements:
  • Experience of working in multi-disciplinary teams in engineering or software project environments.
  • Experience in delivering or assisting in the delivery of projects safely, on time, and on budget.
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to speak confidently and courteously with clients and colleagues.
  • Qualified to obtain necessary passes to work airside at airports, in sub-surface rail, or other secure environments.
  • IT skills including MS Office suite.
  • Experience of issue and change control, monitoring progress against plan and managing the project budget.
  • Experience of working withNEC3 contracts.
  • Ability to motivate a team in a positive and collaborative manner.
  • Knowledgeable of producing Risk Assessments and using Risk Analysis tools.
  • Knowledge and experience in using Earned Value Management reporting tools.
  • Experience with MS Project / Primavera 6software
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT, Business, Construction Management or related field -Applicable experience may be substituted for the degree requirement
  • Experience in a project environment or in a similar role
  • Ability to work independently, think creatively and analytically, and make quick and sound decisions
  • Ability to work on numerous projects at a time
