Process & Utilities Mechanical Engineer

Location: Port of Tyne

By joining the team in Dogger Bank you will have the opportunity to:  

  • Be responsible for technical integrity of all process and utility equipment on Dogger Bank’s operational assets. 

  • Own Performance Standards related to mechanical safety critical equipment.

  • Ensure implementation of all process and utility related maintenance programs with a focus on safety and security critical maintenance. 

  • Review technical queries and requests relating to process and utility systems and evaluate modification proposals. 

  • Participate in Asset Integrity meetings using company tools to manage and visualise technical integrity of the windfarm.  

  • Provide operational support to ops engineers in all technical matters. 

  • Contribute to continuous improvement culture by participating in industry networks and sharing knowledge. 


Who are we looking for?

  • Extensive practical experience of one or more of the following process and utilities systems;  

  • Hydraulic systems.

  • Valves.

  • Fluid handling systems.

  • Pumps.

  • Transmitters.

  • Coolers.

  • Master’s degree in mechanical engineering or similar, specialising in process systems. Relevant experience may compensate for formal qualifications.

  • A team player that strives for continuous improvement, possessing a willingness and ability to share knowledge and experience. Can showcase past examples of providing support and contributing to a diverse and dynamic team.

  • A willingness to undertake offshore medical, HUET and GWO training.

  • Fluent in oral and written English with proficient communications skills. Have an ability to collaborate with multiple internal and external stakeholders and support functions.
