Our client has NEW Staff positions available for - Project Engineers (Mechanical)Location – Dunfermline

About the role:

Our client is looking for talented Mechanical Project Engineers with a wide range of experience across various roles to join the team. You'll have the opportunity to play a key role in the design and development of our product range and you'll be involved in some of the most interesting projects the energy sector has to offer.

Main Duties:

  • Generate and lead conceptual designs or customise existing designs for proposals or projects from customers or internally generated specifications and prepare design

  • Verify designs where necessary using classical analysis techniques (bending, buckling, shear, bearing, and pressure vessel)

  • Present designs to engineering staff during internal design review; prepare and/or review BOMs, documents and drawings.

  • Selecting raw materials, coatings, and quality requirements as necessary

  • Support product lifecycle from sales, tendering, system and product design through to service and aftermarket support.


 Experience Required:

  • You have experience of specifying and designing engineered

  • You have experience in performing classical calculations and/or using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to drive design decisions (if applicable for role)

  • For more senior roles, we'd hope you'd like to coach our more junior members of the engineering department, such as Apprentices, Graduate Engineers, and Designers

  • Beneficial you'll have worked with engineering product databases/systems such as ERP systems.

  • Advantageous to have experience in the oil and gas industry, especially within wellhead and tree products.

  • You'll understand how to deliver design solutions and tasks in a project)
