Quantity Surveyor

Hinkley Point C New Build Power station

4-5 year project – Fully site based

About the role:

NRL are currently recruiting a Quantity Surveyor on behalf of one of our leading client within the Nuclear Industry. This is an exciting opportunity to work for a Tier 1 contractor on one of the world’s largest Nuclear new builds. 

This role includes Quantity Surveying duties combined with the coordination of non-conformance costs on the contract while monitoring the adherence of processes. Our client is looking for an enthusiastic candidate with strong communication skills with a willingness to learn all about the project.

Duties:
Main duties of this position include the below:

  • Identify changes to the contract including opportunities and change events

  • Manage change events in accordance with the project

  • Produce cost estimates

  • Record commercial KPIs to minimise any negative effects

  • Implement NCC processes

  • Liaise with relevant parties to ensure deployment of processes are in line with the client and project requirements

  • Maintain adherence to payment timescales


What you need:
Our client is looking for a candidate who has the following:

  • Previous Quantity Surveying experience

  • Qualification in Quantity Surveying or similar subject

  • Previous experience in power generation or construction is essential

  • Strong communication skills

  • Ability to use Microsoft packages

Additional details:
This position requires working Monday to Friday on site 40 hours a week. We are happy to accept non-local candidates however must be willing to relocate for the full duration of the project.

Salary for the role is to be discussed based off experience.
