Job Purpose:
Provide HR expertise to the business and address all associated people matters in accordance with best practice methodology, internal compliance and legal requirements.
Technical skills and experience:
- Significant generalist HR experience, demonstrating proven track record in delivering on the above accountabilities, and more specifically on driving the HR agenda through the design and delivery of a business-aligned strategic HR plan.
- Proven track record of delivering significant contribution to business strategy, and to designing and delivering HR strategies in large and complex organisations.
- Proven success in managing large-scale projects and complex change initiatives using appropriate methodologies.
- Significant experience in providing HR specialist input into acquisitions, business tenders and managing the transition of people in and out of a business according to TUPE legislation.
- Considerable experience in developing HR and line management capability to address complex and high risk disciplinary, grievance and welfare matters, and in presenting for and at tribunals.
- Demonstrable experience in resolving complex and high risk employee relations matters and in establishing and developing relationships with Trade Unions for ongoing positive interactions.
- Demonstrable evidence of developing and sustaining positive working relationships at a senior level, including the ability to negotiate and to influence business strategy.
- Up to date knowledge of employment law.
