Bookkeeper

NRL are working with a very well established business based in Redcar who require a Bookkeeper to join their team, this will be a permanent position.

You will be responsible for bookkeeping day to day tasks.

What you’ll do:

• Keep our day-to-day accounts up-to-date – sales, purchases, expenses, payments
• Raise invoices, process supplier bills, and chase unpaid invoices
• Reconcile the bank and keep cash flow under control
• Prepare VAT returns and assist with payroll using Xero software
• Produce simple reports so the team knows exactly where the business stands
• Work with our accountant for year-end accounts

What we’re looking for:

• Bookkeeping experience, ideally in a small business
• Comfortable with accounting software Xero
• Knows the basics of UK VAT
• Accurate, organised, and proactive
• Can work independently and take ownership
