Overview An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Construction Delivery Manager to support the delivery of a major UK infrastructure project. This role will take responsibility for a defined section of works, ensuring construction activities are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with programme requirements.
You will work closely with the Senior Construction Delivery Manager and wider project teams, playing a key role in coordinating contractors, overseeing site activity, and driving progress across complex construction packages.
Key Responsibilities- Support contract partners in delivering work packages to meet programme and quality expectations
- Monitor construction activities on site and contribute to daily reporting, escalating issues where required
- Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams (H&S, logistics, project controls, commercial) to ensure smooth delivery
- Assist with logistics planning and implementation alongside site-wide teams
- Review documentation, carry out assurance activities, and support audit processes
- Identify and address safety or quality concerns, recommending and implementing corrective actions
- Attend and contribute to planning and coordination meetings (e.g. PLOD/PLOW)
- Deliver clear communication and key project messages to contractor teams
- Undertake safety inspections aligned to project performance indicators
- Maintain strong liaison with senior leadership, ensuring transparency of progress and risks
Skills & Experience- Proven experience in construction delivery within large-scale infrastructure or major projects
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, planning, and recovery strategies
- Knowledge of CDM Regulations and site-based obligations
- Ability to produce clear, concise, and informative reports
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to build trust and influence delivery teams
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
Qualifications- Degree (or equivalent experience) in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or Construction Management
- SMSTS or IOSH qualification (essential)
