Electrician – Nuclear Project

We're looking for qualified Electricians to join a major long-term decommissioning project at Sellafield, Cumbria. This is a fantastic opportunity to secure consistent, rewarding work on a 15‑year nuclear framework, offering competitive pay, structured bonus schemes and overtime availability.
Salary

• NAECI Grade 5: £23.45 per hour
• Overtime Rates:
  • OT1: £32.83/hour
  • OT2: £42.21/hour
  • Friday: First 4 hours OT1, remaining OT2
  • Saturday and Sunday: All hours OT2

Bonus Package:

• £1.05/hr Individual Bonus (weekly)
• £0.37/hr Sellafield Site‑Wide Bonus (weekly)
• £0.30/hr Individual Contractor Workforce Bonus (every 4–5 weeks)
• £0.35/hr Sellafield Site‑Wide Bonus (every 4–5 weeks)
• £0.30/hr Retention Bonus (every 13 weeks)

Lodge Payment:

• £53.39 per night (taxable) / £373.73 per week, for those working away from home

Location and Working Pattern

• Site: Sellafield, Cumbria
• 4‑ or 5‑day working weeks depending on project requirements
• Overtime regularly available
• Long-term workload secured through a major 15‑year decommissioning framework

Client Overview Our client is delivering one of the UK’s largest and most technically complex decommissioning programmes at Sellafield, focused on safety, innovation, and long-term project success. This is an outstanding opportunity to join an established team supporting essential infrastructure and environmental progress.
Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical installation works
• Install and maintain cable containment systems
• Perform cable pulling and termination tasks
• Support maintenance and upgrade projects
• Adhere strictly to nuclear and safety standards
• Contribute to planned shutdowns and overtime work when required
• Work collaboratively within site safety and quality procedures

Must‑have Requirements

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation
• Valid JIB Card with CSCS logo
• 18th Edition qualification
• IOSH Working Safely or CCNSG Safety Passport
  • (NRL can support with obtaining IOSH if required)

Nice‑to‑have Skills

• Previous Sellafield or other nuclear site experience
• Familiarity with NAECI working practices
• Experience working on large-scale industrial or infrastructure projects
