On behalf of or client, NRL are recruiting for an IT Consultant for work in the Manchester area.


Duration:     3 months
Starts:     01.06.2026
Location:    Manchester with travel to other sites (expensed)

 
You will be working with business users to provide critical support to keep our clients teams up and running. Your team provides desktop hardware configuration and upgrades, monitoring, software installations, hardware upgrades, imaging, and PC deployment. Using the ServiceNow ticketing management system, you’ll resolve ServiceDesk requests and incidents by diagnosing hardware and software problems and installing and configuring standard desktop packages, liaising with third-party maintenance engineers as needed.

In this critical role, the team may need to report for emergency duties, which may occur outside of normal office hours, and also to undertake business trips to support other offices where necessary. You’ll also have an opportunity to undertake individual 'project' work - innovation and development initiatives are always encouraged.

Here's What You'll Need:
  • Proven experience in an IT support role, involving extensive customer support, both remote and in-person
  • Full understanding of Windows Environment and extensive experience with MS Office Suite
  • A Certification
  • Ability to travel, and ability to pass our clients driving record review
Ideally, you'll also have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology
  • ServiceNow or related ticketing management system
