HVAC Engineer

NRL is currently recruiting for a HVAC Engineer on Hinkley Point C. This is working across a Nuclear Project seeking a mid-level Mechanical / HVAC Designer. The role involves creating HVAC equipment models, coordinating with other disciplines, and delivering design outputs such as drawings while ensuring project integration.


Role - HVAC Engineer

Location - Somerset

Salary - £65,000 per annum

 

Responsibilities:

• Create HVAC equipment, ductwork and piping 3D models
• Coordination with other disciplines working in BIM models
• Working with mechanical engineers, and designers/engineers in other disciplines to deliver a fully coordinated and collaborated project
• Creating the design deliverables such as orthographic and isometric drawings
• Assist in interference detection and resolution
• Ensuring proper integration with other tools
• Experience in the production of design deliverables. e.g. Plant sizing calculations (heating/ cooling/ fan sizing) and commissioning of a diverse range of mechanical building systems
• Familiarity with engineering software packages such as CAD
• Can liaise with multiple stakeholders and coordinate with other design disciplines

Required:

• 5 years using BIM tools for Plant such as 3D, Revit, BIM/3D software
• Proficiency using design software such as: AutoCAD, and MicroStation
• Industrial HVAC ductwork and piping layout design experience
• General understanding of Building Mechanical Systems: HVAC/Piping/Plumbing
