Job Title: Materials Logistics Coordinator

Location: Cumbria

Contract Type: Contract (12 months )

Rate: Up to £36.00 per hour (Umbrella, Inside IR35)


Role Overview

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Materials Logistics Coordinator to support stock control and the efficient distribution of materials across the Sellafield site. This role is critical in ensuring that materials are accurately tracked, stored, and delivered to meet operational demands in a safe and compliant manner.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain accurate stock levels across site locations
  • Oversee goods receipt, storage, and distribution of materials
  • Coordinate the timely delivery of materials to various departments and work areas
  • Monitor inventory movements and update systems to ensure real-time accuracy
  • Conduct regular stock checks, audits, and reconciliation activities
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in stock levels
  • Liaise with procurement, warehouse teams, and site operations to ensure material availability
  • Ensure compliance with site safety, security, and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain accurate documentation and reporting for logistics activities
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within materials handling and logistics processes

 

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience in stock control, logistics, or materials coordination
  • Experience working in highly regulated environments (e.g., nuclear, defence, oil & gas, or similar) is desirable
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • P4 Pass Holder
