We’re seeking a qualified Metered Estates Technician to join a leading energy solutions provider, working across the UK. Based near Horncastle but covering nationwide sites, this role involves installing, maintaining and testing LPG systems. Ideal for someone with ACS certification and hands-on engineering skills who enjoys working independently with regular travel.


Location and Working Pattern

  • Based near Horncastle, with travel across the UK
  • Field-based role
  • 40-hour week, typically 08:00 to 17:00
  • Requires staying away from home 2–3 nights a week (Monday to Friday)

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain and test LPG tanks, pipework, and associated equipment at customer properties
  • Carry out routine inspection and servicing of LPG systems
  • Complete commissioning, purging, and certification for all installation work
  • Follow installation drawings and technical plans accurately
  • Adhere to safety standards and compliance requirements
  • Use problem-solving skills to resolve technical issues efficiently
  • Engage with customers professionally on-site and maintain strong communication

 

Must-have Requirements

  • Full UK driving licence (Category B – up to 3.5 tonnes)
  • Full ACS certification including Regulators, Meters and Vessels
  • Ability to work nationwide and stay away 2–3 nights per week
  • Good communication skills and ability to work independently
  • Basic IT literacy and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of UKLPG Codes of Practice
  • Ability to undertake manual handling tasks (training provided)
