About the Role: 

A great opportunity has arisen for an experienced Mobile Water Treatment Technician (Tier 3) to join a growing technical team supporting clients across the Greater Manchester region. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical knowledge, hands-on experience, and the ability to work independently across a variety of water treatment systems.
You’ll be responsible for delivering high‑quality PPM service visits, carrying out analytical testing, and undertaking remedial works on closed systems. The position requires a proactive engineer with excellent diagnostic skills and a solid understanding of current water regulations and industry best practice.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) service visits using appropriate tools and systems
  • Conduct closed system analytical testing and complete remedial works
  • Diagnose and resolve faults across a range of water treatment systems
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant technical regulations and guidance
  • Maintain accurate records and service documentation
  • Provide a professional and customer-focused service while working independently on client sites

 

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Up-to-date knowledge of:
    • Water Supply Regulations / Byelaws
    • L8 ACOP
    • HSG274
    • Other relevant industry guidance
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience performing closed system testing and associated remedial works
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage workload effectively
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

 

Qualifications:

  • City & Guilds or NVQ qualification relevant to Tier 3 grading
  • Post-qualification experience in water treatment engineering
  • Valid UK driving licence
