Mechanical/Electrical Project Manager to deliver a wide range of project works across customer sites throughout Scotland. This role involves full accountability for managing multiple projects, with values up to £2,000,000, and offers a strong pathway to a permanent position.
You’ll be responsible for end‑to‑end project delivery, stakeholder engagement, commercial oversight, and ensuring all works meet safety, quality and regulatory standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesProject Delivery- Deliver a variety of project works across Scotland
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing guidance on project feasibility and requirements
- Work with clients to define briefs and develop Employer Requirements
- Collaborate with consultants, designers, specialists and subcontractors to create clear scopes of work
- Ensure projects meet budget, risk and business objectives
- Support tender processes and commercial governance
- Manage CDM responsibilities as client representative
- Identify and mitigate statutory and commercial risks
- Embed SHEQ practices throughout project delivery
- Produce and manage project programmes, identifying risks and slippage
- Lead day‑to‑day operational delivery from initiation to completion
- Ensure customer acceptance, documentation and handover to BAU teams
- Provide weekly progress, status and financial updates
Relationship Management- Build strong working relationships with clients, customers and site teams
- Manage supply partners in line with procurement requirements
- Work closely with internal support functions to ensure smooth project delivery
Commercial Responsibilities- Maintain full understanding of project‑level costs and revenue
- Ensure financial objectives and margin contributions are met
- Value subcontractor accounts and ensure accurate agreements
- Ensure commercial viability and compliance with contract terms
- Follow all company commercial policies and procedures
Skills & Experience Required- Mechanical and/or Electrical background
- Strong project management experience
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills
- Strong commercial awareness
- Highly organised, proactive and solutions‑focused
- Ability to work on‑site 5 days per week
