Document Controller

Location: Kingston (Hybrid – 3 days office / 2 days remote)
Contract: 6 months, Outside IR35
Start: ASAP – must be available to start within 1 week

About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Document Controller to support a major engineering project, ensuring smooth, accurate, and compliant document management across home office operations, construction sites, and fabrication yards. You will work within established methods and procedures, utilising industry‑standard document control tools and systems.
This role suits someone who thrives in a fast‑paced project environment and brings strong experience from the offshore or complex construction sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and update Document Registers (client and vendor) and manage Master Data Lists
• Monitor document status, workflows, internal distribution, and transmittals
• Perform formal quality checks before uploading documents into the EDMS
• Ensure timely submission, receipt, and archiving of all project documentation
• Upload documentation and transmittals into the EDMS
• Support vendor documentation processes
• Assist with managing client/vendor comments and coordinating responses

What We’re Looking For

• Several years’ experience in the offshore industry or large‑scale construction projects
• Strong understanding of document control workflows, EDMS systems, and project documentation standards
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and maintain accuracy under pressure
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
