Quantity Surveyor – M&E / Building Services

Summary

We’re recruiting an experienced Quantity Surveyor to deliver commercial management on a major long-term construction project in Ardrossan. This role is ideal for professionals with strong NEC4 (option C) expertise and a background in M&E or building services. Location and Working Pattern

Ardrossan | Permanent | Site-based for approximately three days a week with flexibility for the remainder of the week.

Responsibilities

• Manage subcontractor accounts and overall commercial performance
• Deliver accurate cost control, forecasting, and commercial reporting
• Oversee valuations, applications, and payment processes
• Manage variations, change control, and final accounts
• Handle procurement and subcontract management activities
• Operate within an NEC4 Option C contract framework

 

Must-have Requirements

• Proven Quantity Surveying experience within M&E, building services, utilities, or related sectors
• Strong NEC4 / Option C experience
• Ability to manage subcontractors effectively
• Previous involvement on complex, large-scale projects
• Excellent commercial and contractual awareness
• Relevant qualifications are advantageous, but experience is key

 

Nice-to-have Skills

• Background in M&E (preferred, though similar sectors considered)
