Client Overview Our client is a well-established organisation dedicated to delivering high-quality construction and engineering solutions. They are known for their commitment to safety, innovation and professional growth within their teams.
Responsibilities- Set the strategy for engineering control, setting out, and quality assurance on projects.
- Act as the senior representative for engineering, coordinating with line managers and leading the site engineering team.
- Ensure adherence to quality control processes, reviewing and creating Inspection & Test Plans.
- Oversee temporary works coordination and manage lifting operations when required.
- Conduct as-built surveys and confirm compliance with tolerances and specifications.
- Maintain accurate site records including daily diaries and support the use of digital information systems.
- Manage the Non-Conformance procedure, ensuring timely close-out of NCRs.
- Prepare and review method statements, risk assessments, and permits for ground-breaking work.
Must-have Requirements- B.Eng in Civil Engineering or equivalent third-level qualification.
- Advanced knowledge of dimensional control and survey equipment management.
- Proven experience with quality control and inspection standards in civil projects.
- Strong understanding of underground service risks and control measures.
- Experience in temporary works coordination.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and digital platforms such as A-Site or Viewpoint for Projects.
Nice-to-have Skills- Temporary Works Coordinator training.
- Lifting Operations Appointed Person course and A61 CPCS Lifting Operations certification.
- Scaffold inspection/awareness certification.
- Knowledge of planning and programming software.
- Broad experience across piling, geotechnical works, and substructures including waterproofing.
