Senior Methods Engineer, focusing on the development and execution of installation methodologies for the Eirin and Gina Krog LPP Projects. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer with offshore or onshore project expertise who enjoys designing structured, efficient, and safe engineering solutions.
Location and Working Pattern
- Location: Strømgaten 4, Bergen, Vestland, Norway
- Working pattern: On‑site
- Contract position
Responsibilities- Develop installation philosophies and methodologies for project execution.
- Identify and define shutdown‑dependent activities and overall sequencing.
- Support the Onshore Installation Manager with execution strategies and planning principles.
- Contribute to the logical sequencing and integration within project schedules.
- Prepare method statements and documentation detailing installation and execution strategies.
- Ensure safe and efficient installation, handover, and commissioning processes.
- Define modularisation and sectioning approaches for large structures, piping systems, and equipment.
- Develop lifting and handling methodologies for heavy equipment and modules.
- Establish philosophies for system completion, turnover, and handover.
- Collaborate closely with offshore operations and engineering disciplines to develop tie‑in solutions with existing facilities.
Must‑have Requirements- BSc or MSc in a relevant engineering discipline, or recognised technical qualification.
- Extensive experience within the Oil & Gas sector, preferably on the Norwegian Continental Shelf.
- Proven background as a Methods Engineer, Construction Lead, or similar role within maintenance or modification projects.
- Experience in material handling and module installation.
- Prior involvement in large‑scale EPCI projects.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and communicate installation strategies and method statements.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Norwegian.
Nice‑to‑have Skills- Familiarity with IFS and SAP systems.
- Strong technical and multidisciplinary understanding.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication capabilities.
- Organised, analytical, and proactive approach to problem‑solving.
