Senior Engineering Manager – Aberdeen
Lead the engineering function for a growing organisation delivering UK energy projects. Location and Working Pattern
Aberdeen, with travel to client and project sites across the UK, Norway, and Europe. This is a full-time role with flexibility around site and office-based working.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering activities from concept through detailed design, procurement, and commissioning.
• Oversee engineering quality, scope, budget, and schedule management.
• Develop client relationships and lead technical discussions to win new business.
• Define engineering standards, resource requirements, and deliverables for UK operations.
• Coordinate multi-discipline teams to ensure compliant and efficient project delivery.
• Implement engineering readiness processes, ensuring UK regulatory and client standards are met.
• Provide leadership on safety, quality, risk assessment, and design assurance.

Must-have Requirements

• Extensive experience in engineering management within the UK energy or infrastructure sectors.
• Proven record leading multidisciplinary engineering teams delivering major projects.
• Strong understanding of engineering design, assurance, HSEQ, and project controls.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Degree-qualified in Engineering or a related discipline (Chartered Engineer status desirable).

Nice-to-have Skills

• Previous experience in brownfield modifications or offshore work.
• Understanding of UKCS engineering practices and client decision frameworks.
• Exposure to cross-border collaboration between UK and European engineering teams.
