NRL is currently recruiting for a Senior Project Manager to join one of our leading clients on a Sellafield Decommissioning framework.

Role Overview

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading the successful delivery of complex nuclear projects throughout their lifecycle, from concept and design through to commissioning and closeout. The role requires strong leadership, stakeholder management, and Nuclear experience within a highly regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery

  • Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and closure of nuclear projects or programmes.
  • Develop and manage detailed project plans including scope, schedule, cost, quality, and risk management.
  • Ensure projects comply with nuclear safety standards, regulatory requirements, and organisational governance processes.
  • Manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial performance.
  • Oversee project reporting and provide regular updates to senior leadership and stakeholders.
Required Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Extensive project management experience within the nuclear sector.
  • Demonstrable experience delivering large, complex engineering or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of nuclear regulatory environments and safety culture.
  • Proven ability to lead large multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience managing project budgets, schedules, and risk registers.
Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline.
  • Professional project management certification (e.g. PRINCE2, APM PMQ, or PMP).
  • Chartered status with a relevant professional body (desirable).
