Job Title: Quality Engineer

Location: Cumbria
Salary: £40,000 – £48,000

 

Overview
We are seeking a Quality Engineer to support the delivery of high-quality engineering projects within a regulated environment. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong auditing and quality assurance experience to play a key role in maintaining standards and driving continuous improvement.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Support and maintain the Quality Management System in line with ISO 9001
• Conduct internal and external audits (Lead Auditor level)
• Review and manage Lifetime Records (LTRs) and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs)
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, procedures, and client requirements
• Identify non-conformances and support corrective/preventative actions
• Work closely with project and engineering teams to promote quality best practice

 

Requirements

• Experience in a Quality Engineer role within engineering or manufacturing
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001
• Certified Lead Auditor
• Experience with LTRs and ITPs
• Detail-oriented with strong communication skills
