Summary
We’re looking for a Technical Writer to join our client in Woking on a 12‑month contract. This position will suit someone with strong English language skills and experience preparing detailed documentation for management. It’s a fantastic opportunity for a professional who thrives on producing clear and accurate reports in a structured office environment.

Location and Working Pattern
Woking – 5 days per week
on‑site in the office.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare operating plans and professional documentation to project standards
  • Draft budgeting narratives and financial explanations for internal stakeholders
  • Create concise technical reports for management review and decision‑making
  • Maintain document templates and ensure consistent formatting and style compliance
  • Liaise with engineers and project teams to gather relevant technical information
  • Review and edit materials for clarity, accuracy and completeness
  • Support colleagues in document control processes where required
Must‑have Requirements
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • Proficient with word processing and personal computer applications
  • Strong typing accuracy and speed
  • Proven experience creating operating plans, budgeting narratives and technical reports
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
Nice‑to‑have Skills
  • Familiarity with document control systems or technical publishing platforms
  • Previous experience in an engineering or industrial environment
  • Ability to manage multiple document workflows under tight deadlines
