Warehouse Clerk 📍 Hinckley | Full-Time | Permanent

We are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Clerk to join a busy and growing service operation based at a Regional Service Centre in Hinckley. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and proactive individual with warehouse and logistics experience to play a key role in supporting engineering and technical service activities.

The Role
As a Warehouse Clerk, you will be responsible for the smooth day-to-day running of the warehouse, ensuring materials, spare parts and equipment are received, stored and dispatched efficiently. You will work closely with internal teams, suppliers and logistics providers to maintain stock accuracy, support operational requirements and ensure all activities are carried out safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage inventory and stock control activities using ERP and warehouse management systems.
  • Maintain accurate stock records, material master data and inventory reporting.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and annual stock takes.
  • Receive, inspect, store and dispatch materials, spare parts and equipment.
  • Prepare delivery notes, shipping documentation, invoices and inventory records.
  • Liaise with suppliers, transport providers and internal stakeholders to coordinate material movements.
  • Monitor stock levels and support procurement planning activities.
  • Identify opportunities to improve warehouse processes and efficiencies.
  • Ensure compliance with Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental (QHSE) standards.
  • Maintain a safe, clean and organised warehouse environment.
About You
  • Minimum 2 years' experience within a warehouse, logistics or materials handling environment.
  • Technical qualification or vocational training in Logistics, Warehouse Operations, Materials Management or a related discipline.
  • Strong experience using ERP systems and warehouse management software.
  • Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Sound understanding of inventory control, goods receiving, dispatch and stock management processes.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships across teams and suppliers.
  • Valid Forklift Truck (FLT) licence is essential.
  • Experience within engineering, manufacturing, industrial or technical environments would be highly advantageous.
