Workpack Engineer

Summary

We’re looking for an experienced Workpack Engineer to support a major TAR project based in Grangemouth. This short-term contract is ideal for someone with mechanical experience in the petrochemical sector who can confidently interpret technical documentation and prepare work packs.

Location and Working Pattern

Grangemouth – on-site. Contract runs from ASAP until the end of September.

Client Overview

Our client is a leading industrial services provider delivering safe and reliable solutions to the energy and petrochemical sectors.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and manage work packs for the TAR project.
  • Review Written Schemes of Inspection (WSEs) and scopes of work.
  • Develop Risk Assessed Method Statements (RAMS) for site execution.
  • Liaise with engineering teams to ensure accurate technical documentation.
  • Verify compliance against client standards and specifications.
  • Monitor progress and maintain records throughout the TAR period.
Must-have Requirements

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings including:
    • Piping Isometrics
    • P&IDs
    • General Arrangement Drawings (GAs)
  • Mechanical experience within the petrochemical sector.
  • Knowledge of WSEs and capability to produce RAMS.
Nice-to-have Skills

  • Familiarity with TAR planning and execution methodologies.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
