Mechanical Site Manager

The NRL Group are currently looking for an experienced Site Manager to oversee the delivery of a significant work package on a major power generation construction project in the South West.

What will the role consist of?

  • Driving construction progress through the management of a multidisciplined site delivery team.

  • Liaising, interfacing and attending progress meetings with the client and other contractors, to report delivery against project milestones and ensure collaboration among parties on the project.

  • Preparation of construction progress documentation.

  • Oversight of the coordination of labour and works on the project including manpower allocation, planning of shift/work patterns and assigning of tasks.

  • Ensuring that construction works completed meets required quality standard.

  • Ensuring the site team’s compliance with all site EHS requirements and working practices.

  • Running lessons learned and feedback exercises for process/practice improvements across future projects.

  • Monitoring of spend against budget and project timeline to ensure good project cost control.

What we’re looking for:

  • Prior experience managing major construction projects/ scope of works in the power generation or other similar industry.

  • Degree qualified or equivalent experience in mechanical or construction engineering.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • IT skills including good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
