NRL is looking for a Regional Technical Services Manager to join our team in Speke on a permanent basis. This is a full time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, bonus and benefits package.

The role holder will be a highly competent, operationally focussed Engineering/Technical Manager.

Joining a dynamic and growing central engineering function, with the ability to work autonomously, and within an established group of Engineering/Compliance experts.

Our team sets the standards, audits against these standards, and supports our operational colleagues to rectify compliance issues with permanent solutions.


What will you deliver?

  • Responsible for supporting the Account Leads and Technical Managers across a range of contracts including Blue Light, Education and Government/Local Authority.

  • Ensure compliance standards and documentation, which are drafted by the central engineering/compliance team, are understood, and implemented on our contracts.

  • A “hands on” contract support role, where you’ll liaise with account leads and report into the Operations Director

  • Provide advice to strategic leaders and Subject Matter Expert support to the Divisions Operational teams regarding all aspects of general Compliance.

  • Expected to build strong collaborative relationships with our teams and clients.

  • Aid our contracts, supporting the closure of Non-Conformances, championing standardisation across the division and embedding processes to prevent re-occurrence.

  • Support in the procurement, setting to work and monitoring of key service providers, ensuring inspections, maintenance, testing, verification, and repairs are carried out to the correct standard.

  • Provide support and work with the Technical Managers across the cluster to problem solve and reduce risk of asset failure and deductions.

  • Be a champion for continuous improvement, highlighting areas of best practice during site visits, and sharing these with the wider business.

  • Train, guide and coach our staff in compliance management best practices

Who are we looking for?

  • Exceptional knowledge and understanding of Mechanical, Electrical and Fire Safety systems.

  • Proven experience, understanding and working knowledge of PFI contracts requirements

  • Previous experience working within Education or Blue Light Hard Facilities Management

  • Good knowledge of general compliance in Facilities Management

  • Experience working in a highly competent, multi discipline engineering team

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office packages (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio etc.)

  • Proficient at drafting technical reports and be able to support investigations that caused/may have caused injury to personnel or an interruption to our customer’s operations

  • Able to demonstrate significant experience or understanding of operational estates management, including posts held at a senior level

  • Health and Safety Qualification NEBOSH/IOSH or equivalent
