About the role:
The Senior Electrical Engineer will be responsible for FEED and the timelycompletion and delivery for the Electrical engineering design
activities in order to support the execution of a portfolio of
projects. You will also support the Head of Electrical
Engineering in running the technical delivery of the
department and support the establishment of the EC&I
capability.
- Hazardous area design philosophies.
- Complete engineering calculations including load flow analysis, short circuit levels, equipment rating, cable sizing, relay settings, etc.
- Specification of Power distribution equipment including Transformers, HV & LV switchgear, Protection philosophy and protection scheme.
- Specification of HV and LV Motors and Variable Speed Drives.
- UPS philosophy, system design and specification.
- Hazardous Area studies and DSEAR assessment including equipment selection.
- Preparation, review and approval of design drawings and documents
What you will need?
- Previous experience within a similar role
- FEED experience
- Considerable experience within Petrochemical, Refining, Chemical, Pharmaceutical or Power plant environment.
- Knowledge of electrical power systems and able to develop electrical system design philosophies for new and modification of existing systems.
