Our client, a global leader in chemicals production, seeks a motivated Sustainability Specialist to join their Acetyls team at their Hull site. As part of a renowned petrochemical company, you'll contribute to essential production processes serving diverse industries worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement global sustainability plans, including Net Zero roadmaps and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives.

  • Manage environmental, energy, and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) reporting, ensuring compliance with regulations.

  • Lead Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) and Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) studies.

  • Oversee commercial aspects such as Emission Trading Scheme (ETS) and Climate Change Levy obligations.

  • Stay abreast of sustainability developments and legislation, engaging stakeholders to advocate for their agenda.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2:1 master’s degree in chemistry or mechanical, chemical, electrical and instrumentation engineering disciplines.

  • Proactive, driven, with excellent communication skills.

  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high-pressure environment.

  • Demonstrated initiative and a 'can-do' attitude.
