Electrical Commissioning Engineer – Data Centres & Mission Critical Projects

We’re seeking an experienced Electrical Commissioning Engineer to support major data centre and mission‑critical facility projects across France. This opportunity suits professionals with proven expertise in electrical testing and commissioning who are eager to contribute to complex, technically advanced infrastructure within a globally recognised organisation.

Client Overview
Our client is a major international engineering partner delivering independent testing, inspection, and certification services. They play a vital role in ensuring quality, safety, and compliance across large infrastructure, technology, and energy projects worldwide.


Responsibilities

• Manage and perform commissioning, troubleshooting, and validation of sophisticated electrical systems.
• Develop and execute test packs, commissioning checklists, and detailed operational documentation.
• Lead both static and dynamic testing processes to verify system performance.
• Evaluate MEP drawings and specifications to ensure full design and installation integrity.
• Collaborate with project teams, subcontractors, and client representatives to ensure successful completion.
• Identify and resolve electrical and control system faults on site.
• Uphold all site safety standards and compliance procedures.
• Provide technical reports and feedback to project management teams.

Must‑have Requirements

• At least 4 years’ hands‑on commissioning experience within mission‑critical, industrial, or large commercial facilities.
• Sound technical knowledge across HV, MV, and LV electrical infrastructure, including UPS, STS, transformers, and switchgear.
• Understanding of instrumentation, power distribution systems, and grounding.
• Competence in using and interpreting SCADA, PLC, EPMS, and automation systems.
• Familiarity with communication protocols such as Modbus and Ethernet.
• Strong interpersonal and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Proven record of delivering commissioning work safely, on schedule, and to specification.

Nice‑to‑have Skills

• Prior involvement in hyperscale or data centre commissioning projects.
• Knowledge of integrated systems and automation/BMS interfaces.
• Experience working on international multidisciplinary teams.
