About the Role We’re looking for a proactive and analytical
Junior Connected Car Engineer to join a fast‑moving team supporting the next generation of connected vehicle technology. This is an ideal opportunity for someone early in their career who enjoys problem‑solving, working with data, and supporting engineering teams to keep connected car services running smoothly.
You’ll work closely with design, quality, and engineering teams to investigate issues, analyse data trends, and ensure timely resolution of incidents raised through ticketing systems. If you’re curious, detail‑driven, and excited by the future of automotive technology, this role will give you the perfect platform to grow.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and respond to service requests raised by the design team using ticket management tools (e.g., ServiceNow).
- Monitor incident tickets, track progress, and ensure timely closure.
- Use analytical tools to investigate anomalies, identify trends, and support root‑cause analysis — including writing basic SQL queries.
- Work with cloud‑based data using advanced Excel techniques such as Power Query, Power Pivot, and Power Automate.
- Validate reports produced by offshore teams for vehicle campaigns and ensure data accuracy.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with engineering, project quality, and management teams to provide clear updates and early visibility of issues.
- Provide technical support to offshore call‑centre teams when required.
Background & Experience- Degree‑qualified (STEM preferred but not essential with relevant experience).
- Experience using ticket management tools — ideally ServiceNow.
- Familiarity with Power Platform tools (Power Query, Power Pivot, Power Automate, Power BI).
- Strong analytical mindset with practical problem‑solving experience.
- Confident communicator with solid written and verbal skills.
- Competent with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Self‑motivated, proactive, and flexible in approach.
