NEC Certified Supervisor
Summary We’re seeking an NEC Certified Supervisor with experience across civils, structures, tunnels and viaducts, working between Aylesbury and Brackley on a hybrid basis. This role is ideal for someone with strong knowledge of concrete and steel structures, quality compliance processes and assurance management. You’ll play a critical part in ensuring contractual and safety standards are met.
Location and Working Pattern Hybrid – based between Aylesbury and Brackley
Client Overview Our client is a key contractor involved in major UK infrastructure projects, committed to delivering work to the highest standards of safety, quality and compliance.
Responsibilities
  • Monitor and report compliance with the accepted design, works information and all relevant standards and procedures
  • Communicate risks to the Project Management team, raising early warnings and participating in risk reduction meetings
  • Request and manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and defect notifications using digital assurance and HS2 platforms
  • Act as a conduit between the contractor and HS2 teams for agreement on NCRs and defects resolution
  • Review and comment on ITPs (Inspection Test Plans), materials compliance records and quality documentation with the PM and engineering team
  • Undertake inspections and tests in line with ITPs and risk-based processes, verifying self-assurance procedures
  • Attend regular meetings with PM and contractor staff to provide feedback and updates
  • Assist in reviewing contractor technical certification packages and contribute to lessons learned and best practice initiatives
  • Provide quality, inspection and defect reporting input and support the NEC Senior Supervisor in related functions
Must-have Requirements
  • NEC Supervisor certification
  • Proven experience across civils, structures, tunnels and viaducts
  • Strong background in concrete and steel works
  • Knowledge of quality and compliance processes, including ITPs and defect management
  • Familiarity with digital assurance systems and inspection processe
